NATURA URBAN RETREAT IN MADRID: AN INMERSIVE EXPERIENCE FOCUS ON PEACE AND RECONNECTING WITH ONESELF

The hustle and bustle of Madrid rarely lets up. Cars, overlapping conversations, a contagious rush. But that day, as I crossed Plaza Barceló, something different caught my eye: a serene, almost silent wooden structure amidst the chaos. It was Natura’s Urban Retreat, and without realizing it, I was about to gift myself five minutes that would change the rhythm of my entire day.

I approached with curiosity, like someone discovering an unexpected oasis. From the outside, the «urban temple» already exuded calm. Designed by Max Enrich, the space seemed to breathe on its own: warm wood, clean lines, and a sense of refuge that contrasted sharply with its surroundings. Inside, everything invited me to stop. And that’s what I did.

As I sat down and put on my headphones, the city disappeared.

Andrea Klimowitz’s voice began to gently guide me. There was nothing to do, no goal to achieve. Just breathe. Just be. For those five minutes, the noise ceased to exist. My attention, usually scattered between notifications and thoughts, anchored itself in something as simple and as often forgotten as the present.

I felt my body release tensions I didn’t even know I was carrying. Time, for an instant, stopped.

When I opened my eyes, Madrid was still there: the traffic, the people, the constant movement. But something had changed. Me.

Urban Retreat isn’t just an ephemeral installation; it’s a powerful reminder. In the midst of the speed, pausing is still possible. Natura didn’t simply create a physical space, but an experience that reveals something deeper: that refuge isn’t outside, but inside us, waiting for us to decide to enter.

And the best part is that now I know I don’t need a wooden temple to return to that place. I just need to stop. Breathe. And remember. Thanks Lexa and Joi for the unforgettable experience!
