Desigual x Maria Escoté
This Tuesday, October 24, Desigual transformed its flagship store in Madrid into a club. The reason? The presentation of the FW23 collection that María Escoté has signed for Desigual.
The central store of Preciados, 25 has become for a few hours a reflection of the colorful, urban and rave-like universe that inspires the designer’s new creations for the brand.
“My clothes mix naïve with punk and techno,” Escoté acknowledges. From that catalysis this new collection for Desigual is born, an invitation to remember the hits that we danced to in the clubs in the late 90s and early 2000s.
The interior of the store has been accented with pink, one of the star colors of the collection, and has been intervened with dozens of bright kittens and one XXL inflatable one: felines are precisely one of the most striking motifs in one of the prints of the collection.
The attendees have been able to discover each of the designs, chat with María Escoté herself and learn about her inspiration first-hand from her. On the decks, Andrea Vandall as DJ and, as a surprise, the artist Charlotte Allard, placing ‘tooth gems’ on the smiles of the guests.
On the guest list, the actress Miriam Giovanelli, the DJ Toccororo and the versatile Amanda Portillo, wearing Desigual x María Escoté. The singer Anajú, the artist Caryatides, the model Rubí Carrillo and the model Miguel Cobos, among many others, also paraded at the photocall.
The Desigual x María Escoté collection is on sale exclusively from October 24 (in Spain, except the Canary Islands) for registered users on unequal.com. On October 26, it will be available worldwide in select stores and on the web.
