Laagam: Flash store BCN

Laagam opens its first physical store in Barcelona, merging fashion and art.

The Barcelona-based fashion brand Laagam, founded in 2017 as a pure player, takes a significant step by opening its inaugural brick-and-mortar store on Rambla Cataluña, Barcelona. The 140-square-meter space, located at number 127, is introduced as a «work in progress gallery store,» designed in collaboration with Bufet Socis Club and artistically directed by Teresa Montanuy, renowned for her work with brands such as Paloma Wool, Nike, and Puma.

Laagam, whose revenue reached one million euros in 2021, aims to conclude the current year with sales of five million euros and targets doubling this figure by 2024. To achieve this goal, the company plans to expand into the wholesale channel in the United States, the Middle East, the United Kingdom, and Greece, while also opening permanent stores in Madrid and another in Barcelona.

Specializing in women’s fashion and operating in eight global markets, the company has explored the physical retail channel through department stores and multi-brand stores. Its new store in Barcelona adopts a unique approach, drawing inspiration from the art world, featuring sculptures and partially covered paintings with plastic, emphasizing the exclusivity and craftsmanship of its products. Laagam aims to solidify its international presence while continuing to diversify its offerings, including products such as its first handbag and a jewelry collection in collaboration with the Galician brand Rígido.
