Louis Vuitton to Showcase 2025 Cruise Collection at Barcelona’s Park Güell
Barcelona’s iconic Park Güell has been chosen as the venue for Louis Vuitton’s unveiling of its 2025 Cruise collection. The luxury fashion house announced earlier this year its decision to host the event in the Catalan capital on May 23, but until now, the location remained a mystery.
This landmark site, one of Antoni Gaudí’s most renowned works, joins the roster of iconic, architecturally significant locations where Louis Vuitton’s Cruise collection shows have taken place in recent years. Previous venues include the Bob & Dolores Hope Estate in Palm Springs, designed by John Lautner; the Oscar Niemeyer-designed Museum of Contemporary Art in Niterói; I.M. Pei’s Miho Museum near Kyoto; the Salk Institute in California; and Isola Bella on Lake Maggiore.
«It is an immense pleasure to collaborate with Barcelona, a city that, like Louis Vuitton, boasts a rich heritage and an extraordinary passion for creativity,» said Pietro Beccari, President and CEO of Louis Vuitton, upon revealing the news. In addition to the fashion show, the French luxury brand has selected the Catalan capital to host the 37th Louis Vuitton America’s Cup, set to commence this August, preceded by the Louis Vuitton Cup, a preliminary qualifying competition.
These initiatives highlight the close relationship between Louis Vuitton and Barcelona, a relationship steeped in history dating back to the early 20th century. Georges Vuitton, son of Louis Vuitton, played a part in the jury of the 1929 Barcelona International Exposition and received an award for one of the brand’s vanity cases displayed at the event.
