Louis Vuitton Unveils Pharrell Williams’ Western Style Themed FW24

In the latest fashion spectacle, Louis Vuitton presented its Fall/Winter 2024 menswear collection, marking Pharrell Williams’ debut as the creative director. The extravagant event took place at the picturesque Jardin d’Acclimatation in Paris, France, offering a captivating fusion of western aesthetics and Pharrell’s signature style.

This unique showcase is a continuation of Pharrell’s «from Virginia to Paris» ethos, symbolized by the choice of the show’s location — Paris, Virginia, a town in his home state. Prior to the event, teasers posted on Pharrell’s Skateboard Instagram account hinted at the Virginia connection, including a billboard with the show’s livestream details.

The FW24 presentation unfolded against a desert backdrop, featuring a diverse array of designs that seamlessly blended western elements with Pharrell’s distinct LV touch. The runway showcased Damier denim suits, pixelated cowprints, red checkered ensembles, floral embroidered sets, LV cowboy hats, ostrich leather boots, and statement fringes.

The show also brought back Pharrell’s iconic Louis Vuitton Speedy bags in fresh and vibrant colorways, such as teal, pink, and purple. Noteworthy were the monogram Timberland boots and oversized handbags, adding an extra layer of boldness to the collection.

In attendance were a star-studded guest list, with notable figures like Gunna, Karlie Kloss, Swae Lee, Playboi Carti, Bradley Cooper, and Lil Yachty. The runway saw appearances from familiar faces like Pusha T and the Sanders brothers, Shedeur and Shilo.

The finale of Louis Vuitton’s FW24 menswear presentation was nothing short of spectacular, featuring a snowy catwalk — a fitting conclusion to a show that effortlessly blended fashion, music, and nature. Pharrell Williams, donned in a Human Made t-shirt paired with a Louis Vuitton cowboy hat and boots, closed the show with a gracious «thank you» bow, expressing appreciation for the Louis Vuitton team and performers.

The collaboration between Louis Vuitton and Ron Husband, a veteran Walt Disney Studios animator, added a touch of magic to the event, as Husband envisioned the first cowboy. Pharrell Williams even embraced the theme off the runway, making a courtside appearance at an NBA game in a full Louis Vuitton cowboy ensemble. The FW24 extravaganza not only showcased groundbreaking fashion but also highlighted the seamless integration of Pharrell’s artistic vision with the iconic Louis Vuitton brand.
