Nicki Minaj to Headline Afro Nation Portugal 2024 Alongside Afrobeats Superstars Rema, Asake, and J Hus

Afro Nation Portugal, the world’s premier Afrobeats festival, is set to return to the sun-drenched shores of The Algarve from June 26th to 28th, 2024. Today, Afro Nation Portugal unveils the first wave of its eagerly awaited lineup, featuring 20 stellar acts headlining the main stage, including renowned names like Rema, Asake, J Hus, and Tyla, along with Amapiano favorites such as Major League DJz, Uncle Waffles, and Focalistic, among others.

This globally acclaimed festival, which has seen exponential growth since its inception, promises yet another year of unparalleled vibes and unforgettable moments. Leading the charge is none other than last year’s breakout star, Asake, whose electrifying presence lit up Afro Nation Portugal 2023, culminating in a monumental performance at the O2 Arena, where he sold out 20,000 tickets in just two years since launching his career.

Fans have eagerly awaited the return of Nigerian sensation Rema to the picturesque beaches of Portugal. Fresh off the success of his chart-topping anthem «Calm Down,» Rema continues to make waves internationally, recently stunning audiences at the Ballon D’Or awards and clinching the Best Afrobeats title at the 2023 MTV EMA Awards.

British Afroswing luminary J Hus is also slated to make a triumphant return to Afro Nation this June, delivering a powerhouse performance featuring his greatest hits. Joining the lineup is French sensation Ninho, whose 2022 album ‘JEFE’ dominated the charts, along with South African rising star Tyla, whose viral hit ‘Water’ has propelled her to Amapiano stardom.

In addition to the main stage acts, Afro Nation Portugal will once again showcase the hottest talents from the Amapiano scene on its iconic Piano People stage. From Major League DJz to Uncle Waffles and Focalistic, attendees can expect an electrifying fusion of beats and rhythms that will set the dance floor ablaze.

Today’s announcement also sees rising stars like Young Stunna and Virgo Deep joining the lineup, ensuring that this year’s festival will be nothing short of legendary.

With Afro Nation Portugal continuing to elevate African music and culture on a global scale, the 2024 edition promises to be a celebration like no other, uniting music lovers from around the world in a shared appreciation for dance, food, fashion, and, above all, incredible music.
