Primavera Sound 2025: A Stellar and Diverse Lineup to Remember
Primavera Sound 2025 has revealed its new image for the upcoming edition with the same surprise and excitement that it is known for, confirming that this year’s festival will be one of the most anticipated of all time. Within less than 24 hours of the announcement, the artist lineup was made public, leaving fans stunned and eagerly awaiting June, when Barcelona will once again become the music capital.
This year, Primavera Sound 2025 has focused on attracting a younger, queer audience, with the confirmation of pop superstars dominating the current scene: Chapelle Roan, Charli XCX, and Sabrina Carpenter. These artists, who have won the hearts of thousands of fans worldwide, have been dubbed “The Powerpuff Girls of Pop,” and their popularity continues to grow. The festival is going all in by bringing them together, sending a clear message that they are aiming for the top this year.
Charli XCX’s performance will be one of the most awaited moments of the festival. The artist, who is already considered a queen of Primavera Sound, will deliver a unique show, especially because she will join her friend Troye Sivan to present the SWEAT tour. This show, which has been a huge success in North America with 22 sold-out dates, will be exclusive to Europe at Primavera Sound 2025. Charli and Troye’s fans will get to experience something truly unforgettable.
Electronic music will also play a major role in this year’s lineup, with a variety that will appeal to genre lovers. From established legends like Amelie Lens and Armand Van Helden to rising stars making waves, such as ANOTR, Brutalismus3000, Danny L Harle, and Sherelle. Additionally, the festival will feature major names in the electronic scene like Jamie XX, Kelly Lee Owens, and Floating Points, the latter performing live.
But Primavera Sound 2025 is not just about pop and electronic music. Rap, which has been crucial in past editions, will be well represented by artists like Denzel Curry, Aminé, and Central Cee, who will bring their unique energy to the festival. Spanish indie will also shine, with names like La Casa Azul, Carolina Durante, and Judeline, all of whom will present their latest albums. Punk will be delivered by bands such as Fontaines D.C. and Turnstile, while nostalgic fans will enjoy a performance by LCD Soundsystem. Additionally, FKA Twigs, who has had to cancel her performances in the past two years, will finally perform with a new album in hand.
As tradition goes, the festival will close with vibrant electronic music. Primavera Bits x Nitsa will present an amazing lineup featuring legendary figures like Paul Kalkbrenner and Michael Bibi, as well as emerging house talents like Carlita and the German phenomenon Bunt. This electronic Sunday promises to be the perfect finishing touch for an unforgettable edition.
The full lineup is already available by day, and although tickets are sold out, the atmosphere in Barcelona promises to be one-of-a-kind from June 4th to 8th. There are still many surprises to be revealed, such as the names for the Boiler Room lineup and other special projects that will enrich the experience.
Primavera Sound 2025 is shaping up to be one of the most complete and spectacular editions of the festival, offering the perfect blend of genres, artists, and moments that cannot be missed. See you in June!
