Sacai and Carhartt WIP Unveil Dynamic SS24 Capsule Collection

For Spring/Summer 2024, sacai once again joins forces with Carhartt WIP to introduce a captivating capsule collection that seamlessly blends sacai’s distinctive design language with the functional sensibilities of the renowned streetwear label. The 18-piece collection skillfully deconstructs and reimagines a range of work-inspired items, resulting in exclusive hybrid silhouettes.

Highlighting the collaborative prowess, pieces like the Reversible Duck Coat intricately fuse two iconic Carhartt WIP styles – the legendary Chore Coat and Siberian Parka. Meanwhile, the Suiting Bonding Dress draws inspiration from the Bib Overall design, juxtaposing rugged and functional elements with the graceful lines of a pleated skirt.

This collaborative endeavor also sees a fusion of signature fabrics and details from both brands. Carhartt WIP’s iconic Dearborn Canvas seamlessly integrates with sacai’s wool-blend suiting fabric, yielding garments that can be stylishly worn inside-out. Subtle yet impactful features such as triple stitching, piping, and pocket details are meticulously incorporated throughout the collection.

To bring this collection to life, the campaign features the talents of Detroit’s ghettotech trio, HiTech, alongside the ethereal dream pop sounds of musician and model Soo Joo Park. Styled by Karl Templer and captured by the lens of Stas Komarovski, the campaign adds a visual dimension to the dynamic fusion of fashion and function.
