Sara Camposarcone

Social media personality and TikTok content creator known for sharing her vibrant outfits and daily fashion inspiration. She has more than 1.4 million followers on her verified saracampz  account. Her fashion sensibilities have landed her features in Vogue, Elle, New York Times, and more.

Sara Otero: how started your passion for fashion and styling?

Sara Camposarcone: I’ve always been a creative person, and pursued creative focused careers to help get me to where I am today. I think confidence has a lot to do with feeling comfortable enough to express yourself however you’d like without the worry of what others may think. My confidence has grown quite a bit in the last 5 years or so- and with that, my success and happiness has also grown!

SO: what type of articles do you usually write in vogue?

SC: I’ve been interviewed for numerous articles about maximalism, dressing for joy, sustainability in fashion etc, for fashion magazines like Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, Elle Magazine and many more. I’ve also been interviewed for a Vogue Business article regarding social media marketing on TikTok.

SO: What’s your favorite topic to talk about in magazines?

SC: Usually fashion or beauty related topics as those are my areas of expertise.

SO: have you got any idols in the fashion world?

SC: I adore Iris Apfel. She inspires me to always feel younger than I am, and to dress the way you feel on the inside! Another huge inspiration of mine is Marc Jacobs- i think his work is absolutely incredible at every fashion house he’s worked for.

SO: what inspired you to create your own accessory brand?

SC: During the pandemic, I had some free time like most people, so naturally, as a creative person, I created my own jewelry! It was so therapeutic and calming for me, and friends LOVED it. I started selling my pieces on Instagram, and now I have my jewelry in a few local stores.

SO: What do you think your brand has that the rest doesn’t?

SC: I think I am unique to my own personal style, and that’s something no one can take or replicate from you. I like to think my outfits spark joy, or make people smile in some way, and to me- that’s the best superpower to have.

SO: what’s your opinion about flash trends on fashion?

SC: I think ‘flash trends’ are essentially what fast fashion brands use to market their product to Gen Z’s who want to be wearing what’s ‘cool’ and ‘trendy.’ I never suggest following trends if they aren’t authentic to your personal style!

SO: what’s your favorite item of clothing in your wardrobe?

SC: My thrifted Moschino letter chain belt.

SO: what’s the most difficult part about being a stylist, influencer, journalist and entrepreneur?

SC: You are essentially working 24/7. I love my job, but you have to remember mental health comes first- give your mind a break from time to time
