TAKE A LOOK INTO THE FUTURE OF SPANISH MUSIC IN TOMAVISTAS 2025

TOMAVISTAS in Madrid has revealed its schedule. After a gender parity and transversal artistic line-up for the upcoming edition, where exciting presentations of prominent young figures are being mixed with consolidated bands, allowing the visitor to get a look into the past, the present and the future of the Spanish music scene. A celebration of culture and environmental responsibility at La Caja Mágica, a celebration of Spanish culture that we are going to witness through the days 29th, 13th, 30th and 31st of May.

Opening the festival with fresh and diverse energy we have an arrangement of artists that are going to establish the level that this edition contains. From the national alternative offerings like Trashi, Ganges and Xenia performances to upcoming artists like María José Llergo with  innovative fusion of flamenco with contemporary genres in “ULTRABELLEZA”, Pablopablo with his intimate and atmospheric debut album “Canciones en Mi” and Jimena Amarillo with her fusion of indie pop, rap, and urban elements in the latest «ANGÉLIKA».

The rising Spanish star Judeline is also going to be present at the festival, after an impressive Coachella appearance, confirming that she is one of the artist to watch. After a conceptual EP «De la luz», it was mesmerizing to see her collaborate with national and international figures for the creation of her debut album, «Bodhiria», characterized by a unique blend of indie pop, Latin influences, and a strong visual and spiritual aesthetic.

However, there is room for urban proposals such as the upcoming talent Barry B with his debut album «CHATO», where he explored rock, punk, electronic, hip-hop, and funk, creating a sound that is both eclectic and authentic; and the pioneering figure in Spanish-language rap Mala Rodríguez with her revisit of «Lujo Ibérico», the album that opened for her international doors 25 years ago, a fusion of rap with flamenco and for addressing social and personal issues from a feminine and empowered perspective.

The most exciting moment of the day is going to be Amaia’s performance where we expect to have fun and discover the full experience of her latest album “Si Abro Los Ojos No Es Real”. We are ready to jump with «Tocotó», «M.A.P.S.» and «C’est la vie»; presenting her festival tour after a sold-out arena show earlier this year in Madrid. The winner of OT17 still understands her power as a female artist in the industry and explores new ways of creating to generate songs that align with the youth. Some songs from “Pero No Pasa Nada” and “Cuando No Sé Quién Soy” are going to sound refresh, thanks to new musical arrangements for this new era and show.

The rest of the days are focused on mature performances and less risky presentations. Caribou are presenting their «Honey» tour that we expect to be one of the most enticing experiences in the festival, bringing their fusion of electronics, psychedelic, and pop music to Madrid. On the other hand, we could find vibrant performances by Love Of Lesbian and Viva Belgrado. Bombay Bicycle Club would present “Fantasies”, their latest EP, alongside their classics, representing the indie rock scene of London and bringing their evolving sound, where folk, electronic, world music, and indie rock meet. Afterwards, Depresión Sonora are presenting their latest project “MAKINAVAJA”, a fusion of post-punk, darkwave, and lo-fi elements; after doing a tour in their beloved USA.

We cannot wait to enjoy a festival committed to diversity, sustainability and a carefully curated lineup that blends international headliners with emerging talent. An eclectic program that goes beyond music, encouraging the public to discover new artists across a multitude of musical genres with a focus on national emerging talent. Madrid, see you soon!
